Photographic Record of Gorleston Beach

The purpose of the Beach Watch Survey 2008-9 is to produce a photographic record of sand levels on Gorleston Beach. We feel this is necessary as GYBC are doing little or nothing to record changes to the beach at Gorleston.

As you will be able to ascertain for yourself in the space of a few months there is generally little change in sand levels. Since 2004 there has been a general rise in sand levels over the whole length of Gorleston Beach resulting in less likelihood that the sea wall will collapse as in 1969.

This will be the last of our photograpic surveys. The sand levels on Gorleston Beach are maintaining a healthy level. We believe these surveys will prove the case should the Council try to ruin the beach because they have access to government grants.
