regarding the meeting with the residents group about Coastal Protection which took place on 24th Jan 2005.

Minutes from the above meeting
The concensus of public opinion at the Gorleston Library Meeting (29th Sep 2004) was that the 'Reefs' proposal was unacceptable. As a result of this the GYBC and its representatives agreed to meet with a group of local residents with expertise in Coastal Protection to discuss alternative options. The result of this meeting is contained within these minutes.

Covering letter from John Hemsworth
regarding public meeting at St Andrews Hall, Gorleston 22/03/2005

Minutes from the above meeting
This meeting was convened to discuss the conclusions reached at the "Residents Forum". The meeting was not so well attended as the meeting at the Library in September last year. However there was a lively debate and it was decided that the Council would meet with residents again to iron out a few remaining differences. The plan to carry out repairs to the sea wall allied with a beach monitoring programme seemed acceptable to most of those attending.
